This Privacy Policy explains how Shinova Labs LLC (“Shinova Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use its Shinova platform (“Shinova,” the “Service,” or the “Platform”) at shinova.io. 1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: name, email address, mobile phone number, password, and profile details you provide.
- Business information (providers): business name, address, branding assets, service catalog, and payout details for billing.
- Booking & usage data: classes and appointments booked, purchases, workouts, messages, and other activity within the Platform.
- Payment information: processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Device & log data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, timestamps, and pages viewed, collected automatically to secure and improve the Service.
- Communications: messages you send through the Platform, and your consent to receive SMS/text or email communications.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- Process bookings, payments, credits, memberships, and refunds;
- Send transactional messages (booking confirmations, receipts, reminders, account and security notices);
- Send marketing, promotional, and informational messages when you have opted in;
- Personalize the experience and deliver relevant content from your provider;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security issues, and technical problems;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

Shinova offers an SMS/text messaging program to enable booking confirmations, appointment reminders, account notifications, and (with your opt-in) promotional messages. Providers use Shinova to communicate with their own clients. A provider can see their own clients’ contact information and authors the message content sent to them. Shinova Labs LLC is the message sender of record. We do not share, sell, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent information to any other provider, third party, or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. The following disclosures apply to all messages sent through Shinova:

We do not share, sell, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the sharing categories described in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Phone numbers are only disclosed to vetted subprocessors that act on our behalf (such as our SMS delivery subprocessor) strictly to deliver the messages you have requested, and only under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations. These subprocessors are contractually prohibited from using your phone number or SMS opt-in information for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
5. How We Share Information
Exclusion for mobile information and SMS consent (read first): Your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in data, and messaging consent are excluded from every sharing category described in this section. This information is never shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstance. We do not share, sell, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Subject to the exclusion above, we share other information only in these limited situations:
- With your provider: if you use Shinova as a client of a provider on the Platform, that provider can view your name, email, booking history, purchase history, and in-app messages necessary to deliver services to you. Providers use Shinova to communicate with their own clients. A provider can see their own clients’ contact information and authors the message content sent to them. Shinova Labs LLC is the message sender of record. We do not share, sell, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent information to any other provider, third party, or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes.
- Service providers acting on our behalf: hosting, analytics, payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, and customer support tools operating as our subprocessors under written agreements. Our SMS delivery subprocessor is used only to transmit messages you have requested and is contractually prohibited from using your mobile information for its own marketing purposes.
- Legal & safety: when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Shinova Labs, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it in a secure manner.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, restricted access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Choices
- Access & correction: you can view and update most account information from within the Platform.
- Marketing emails: you can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of any marketing email.
- SMS: reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time.
- Account deletion: email support@shinova.io to request account deletion.
9. Children’s Privacy
Shinova is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above and, for material changes, provide additional notice (such as an in-app message or email). Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
