Payments and memberships
Your Stripe account. One visible fee.
Payments go to a Stripe account in your business’s name at Stripe’s published rate. Shinova adds one visible platform fee and nothing else: no fee per client, no fee per booking, nothing on tips.
What will I actually pay, and who holds my money?
The problem
Processing markups hide in a bundled rate. New-client fees appear on marketplaces. Packs lose count. Owners find out on the statement.
What you get
Money you can see
- Founding members: 0.5% on the first $20,000 each month, 0.25% above that, locked.
- Stripe’s rate is paid to Stripe, and the account stays yours if you leave.
- Refunds return the platform fee too.
- Tips go to your team in full.
How clients pay.
- Card on file, saved with consent on your own Stripe account, so rebooking does not mean re-entering a card.
- Class packs: credits drawn down per visit, returned on an on-time cancel, expired when you said they would.
- Memberships on recurring billing, with failed payments and cards needing authentication surfaced to you.Starter and up
- Promo codes, percent or fixed, for packs and memberships.Starter and up
- Guest checkout for a first class, appointment or ticket, with no account required.
- Appointment requests hold the card until you approve; nothing is charged for a slot you refuse.
