Where the time and money actually go.
The cost of separate tools is mostly the hand-offs between them. Here is one booking both ways, then a calculator that uses only your own numbers.
One booking today, with separate tools
- A new client messages to ask what is free on Thursday.
- You reply with two options; they pick one; you type it into the calendar.
- You text a waiver link from a forms tool and hope it comes back signed.
- You send a payment link or take the card over the phone.
- The day before, you remember to send a reminder, or you do not.
- They cancel late; the spot stays empty because the waitlist lives in a group chat.

This calculator is illustrative. It uses only the numbers you enter and Stripe’s published rate as an editable default. It is not a quote or a promise of savings. Time estimates are yours, and we show them separately from cash because time saved is not money in the bank.
Questions
Who owns my Stripe account?
You do. Payments go to a Stripe account in your business’s name, at Stripe’s standard published rate. Shinova’s platform fee is the only thing we add. If you leave Shinova, the Stripe account stays yours.
Is there a fee per client, per booking, or on tips?
No. There is no charge for a new client, no charge per booking, and tips go to your team in full. Your only Shinova costs are the subscription and the platform fee on card payments.
What does ‘every feature’ include?
Everything in Shinova today and everything added later, including features marked Coming soon on this site, for as long as you stay subscribed. One location is included; once multi-location ships, additional locations are 25% off the standard per-location price.
What happens after 24 months?
Your founding price is locked for 24 months. After that, you pay 25% off the list price for your team size ($59 for 1 provider, $129 for up to 3 booking staff, $169 for unlimited booking staff) and keep every feature, for as long as you stay subscribed. Your founding platform fee (0.5%, or 0.25% on volume over $20,000 a month) does not change.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Plans are month-to-month. Founding pricing applies for as long as you stay subscribed, and the full founding terms are provided before you sign.
Is migration really free?
For founding members, yes. There is no setup fee and we do the migration with you. If you’re still paying out a contract elsewhere, we credit up to 3 months of it. What the move involves.
Do reminders use my marketing text allowance?
No. Confirmations, reminders, STOP and HELP replies and account notices are always included on every plan and are never counted.
What happens when I use up my marketing texts?
If a campaign would go beyond your allowance, we offer a top-up first: 500 for $12 or 2,000 for $40. Nothing is sent or charged without your OK. Your monthly allowance (1,000 marketing texts a month on Growth and 3,000 on Pro) resets each billing period; add-on texts never expire. Only clients who opted in receive marketing texts, and opted-out clients are skipped automatically. A text is up to 160 characters; longer messages count as 2 or more. See our SMS terms.
What if I have more than one location?
Solo, Starter and Growth cover one location. Multiple locations are part of Pro, with additional locations priced per location. Shinova doesn’t support multiple locations yet; see What’s new. Founding members get one location included and, once it ships, additional locations at 25% off the standard per-location price.
Can clinical or medical practices use Shinova?
No. Shinova is not a HIPAA covered entity or business associate, and it isn’t designed to hold medical records. We don’t sign Business Associate Agreements, and Shinova isn’t intended for practices that bill health insurance. Some businesses on Shinova may ask optional wellness questions, such as areas to avoid or anything you’d like your provider to know; your answers are stored only so that business can keep you safe and tailor your session, only that business’s staff can see them, we never use them for advertising, and you can delete them at any time.
